That's a new thing as I understand it.
What do you think the logic is behind it?
I could see it trying to keep the combustion more centered downward on the piston but idk

Should be better for heat mitigation problems like @huskihl alluded to.
However @Spike60 just may have a more detailed scoop from Husqvarna, let's see what Bob has to say.

What I find way more interesting here is cutting/moving the heat wrap from one saw to another. Did you take any pics of that while doing the job? I have a couple old Jonsered 920V's and a 670V that I want to do that to.

No I did not take any other pictures sorry.
What I did was cut half wrap rubber off on the top of the handle cuz the heat tape is on the bottom. Then I used a hair dryer to warm the tape up and slowly peeled it off.
I then stuck it to the other handles which didn't stick very well so I wrapped it with electric tape really well then finished the final grip with athletic tape. You also have to add a couple holes to the handle for the wires to go in

Hair dryer, eh? Thanks for that tip.

The back handle usually survives years of use with no problem. The top handles seem to get pretty tore up over time. Redoing the wiring and switches is no big deal. But sometimes there's no good option for the top handle. Got a couple saws where I've settled for just having heat to the trigger hand.

I know I’m a couple days late, but is this like a pop up piston. Or did they just take metal out of the middle. Excuse my ignorance I guess. I’m not all familiar with the 562 piston. What is it the windows.??

The opposite of pop up .
Dished piston
I thank you for the information. My 562s 2019 model. I just recently opened the baffle inside and did a little more muffler mod. It actually wakes it up a little bit might not be a whole lot of horsepower but it definitely response better.
