I wonder if more power could be had with the intake port deflector gone? Of course that could let the piston get too hot, because they wouldn't put it there for no reason.

You are... The rods are about the only thing not discussed other than the appearance of the crank. Good lead though. I was hoping.

I have a 661 pulled apart out in the garage awaiting new bearings. Message me tomorrow or Monday and I can get you close on those numbers

Very interesting video Scott! I have a very high hour MS661C in bits on the bench at the moment, it was badly siezed and these were the mains. Clutch side cage is two thirds gone.

From my rudimentary measurements with calipers you are 64mm pin to pin and just on 91mm overall rod length.
