Randy what do you recommend for sealing transfer covers up. I tried motoseal. I didn't like that. Finally used 3 bond something I'll look when I get home. Whatever echo uses is some good *s-wordtt! Lol.No this ain't about gains when porting. lol
I tore 4 Husqvarna 550XPs down yesterday. Out of the four, two of them had torn transfer cover seals.

What can be done to fix them?
I would guess the one I'm looking at has been setting a whileBrand new saws........never started. But.......they were both 2014 models.
Go ahead. They are wonderful saws. The 2015 and up have had improvements to the transfer seal, base gasket seal, and the intake.

Look like the seals were getting damaged by installation at the factory do you think , 2 from 4 is to big a coincidence I think…Worth looking at those seals on older ones I guess .Brand new saws........never started. But.......they were both 2014 models.

Makes me wonder about mine. But it idles fine now, no chain creep where it's idling up to compensate for a leak. I could be wrong, the funky carb setup has stumped me on how to setup for a leak down test.
