3 rivets measure 1-1/4”, so I’m assuming this is 5/8 pitch?

Remington chain, .058 gauge.

Looks like 3 rivets is approx 7/8 to me (18 to 18-7/8). That puts it closer to .404, no?

That’s what I got too. 7/8 or .875/2 =.4375 closer to .404 then 1/2.

It’s bigger than .404. I compared it to my Oregon pitch gauge, held up a loop of known .404, and this is definitely bigger.

That makes sense. I'm betting that's what I have. I brain farted last night, and measured 3 spaces, instead of 3 rivets. d'oh! Can't even blame the barley pop, as I had just cracked the first Genny.

So what size file would I need to touch it up?

The motor doesn’t have the speed. It makes up for it with a bigger bite and low end torque.
