Not that i need another AR but how does the 450 bushmaster compare the 458 socom? I wonder which is cheaper to handload for? Just got a henry lever in 44mag and as soon as the 45-70 henry X goes on sale gonna get one of those but got a couple lowers in the safe and a big bore AR i have no use for sounds like fun.

I don't have any in 458 socom so I can't say but the 450 bushmaster is a great caliber for deer out to 150 yards easy. This is my second rifle in this caliber Midway had them marked down 200 bucks off the regular price so I could not resist.

My understanding, the .450 is cheaper to reload than the .458...at least that's what I get from a couple of buddies who reload .458

Guys cast for both the .450 Bushmaster and .458 SOCOM. Lyman has load data for the .450, not sure about the SOCOM. Recommend powdercoating or hytek on the boolits.
