Just received a max flow kit for my 440 today from a member here, super stoked. I'm wondering though it talks about trimming the oem filter flange to fit. Kinda does look like you would have to to get it to fit the flange. Any body install one and did you grind the lip off the base. I hate the idea of trimming it, but I want it to fit right. Any body shed some light?

It shouldn't use the oem filter in any way.

No sorry not the actual filter the base, like the sealing surface for the filter, it has a lip up both sides and across the top. I'll take a picture.

I can see in your pic the tabs in the corners are still there so that tells me what I wanted to know

I'll get some uni then. I used to run UNI filters and oil on my old blaster. I just figured it was all the same.
