Considering a Mclane or Generac edger. Anyone have experience w either or similar? Walked over 8,000 steps edging and re-edging and blowing our big yard w (too) many sidewalks, islands, and 2 driveways and retaining walls. Currently use redmax blade edger and big Stihls w string. Too old for this….

Thank you!!!

Like you man I'm getting old and I have a lot of edging to do. I haven't used a wheeled edger in forever. My old man used to have a four-wheeled snapper edger with a vertical 2HP Briggs. What I remember about this, is that it was finicky and it dug the edges way too deep even at lower settings. These new walk behind edgers may be better.

But before you plunk down your hard-earned money on a walk behind edger, why don't you get a Darwin's grip for your stick edger. I have one on mine and I can stand straight upright and walk just as fast as I can and edge with no problem. Of course I don't let the grass grow out more than 10 days.20230520_200957.jpg20230520_201025.jpg
