She's not the prettiest girl at the dance, but my new big saw coverage. First 394 I've owned. My climber sold it to me today 600.00 I thought pretty good. Just missing brake. 3120 gone, sold. 395s were out of my budget or the few that weren't sold to quick or no responses.

Nice!, last year when I got mine I got my chain brake cover and associated parts mostly from Duke's saw salvage.
It's been a very good saw.
I was also on the hunt for a 395 but I wasn't going to pay 700.00 for a beat saw that spent 90% of its time riding in the back of a truck.

Nice, agreed on costs. Cool I'll check the salvage out. Yeah with selling the 3120, if all just went toward another saw, and no living money, it wasn't worth it to me. Funny you said 700.00 because that's exactly what I gave myself a budget for.

And to clarify what I said on another post, about the 395 note really grabbing me, like the 390 did. Th3 390 class down to the the 372 046 has always been my favorite. What I meant was for everyday use handling and hillside packing. Since I had gotten my ported 390. When it comes to big stuff they grab me for sure, 394-395 power balance, and smoothness for saws that size is incredible. And after running them I never went back to a 066 or 660, because of vibration. And comparing them all to a 3120, man just too much to pack. So my giant wood saws are my 2101 and 394 now, and the 390. I'm going to get a 42inch bar to float around, because many times we need one. The 50 has proved handy. But there's a void I want to fill between when a 34 or 36 isn't enough but a 50 is too much. And I like have enough saws for the versatility.

My friend gave me a 394 last summer I'll rebuild it this winter
If I can get ahold of my cousin he has over a dozen 394 and 395s laying around
He won't hardly sell anything he logs full time
I'd like to get another set of cases
Off him.
Just to have it around for milling
My big saws just set anymore I just run 66/72cc mainly.

Awesome, yeah be nice to score some off your cousin. Yes it's amazing what the smaller class saws, can do today.

I just got one in June from Huskihl. He built it from parts he had and ported it. I call it my "sleeper", because it's not much to look at either, but it's a fricking beast! Only my second Husky I've ever ran, but I like it.

Congrats on the "new" saw!
