361 being a bastard

Gday lads.
I have a 361 that sometimes wont start from cold first start of the day. To get it going you need to give it a squirt of fuel down the carb. Then it will start, and restart all day.
I have replaced the fuel and impulse lines, fuel filter and carb (genuine walbro carb).

Any suggestions?

I'm with popopboat, there is a couple of different choke lever linkages for this model, if it's got the wrong one it won't close properly.
