If it’s the 44.3 model, you need to actually fit the ring and regrind the pin groove. Their supplier makes a 45MM ring that comes with the kit. It requires some doing

As far as the gap, I’d shoot for .007 - .008 “

.004” per inch of bore. .004 x 1.744”= .006976”, like Kevin said, .007-.008, just figured I’d throw the .004” per inch of bore out so you know where he got it.
