Hello,
I have a really cool saw up for grabs.

In very good condition.

Saw was taken apart by someone who owned it and a vibration dampening spring was installed incorrectly. This saw then sat for the better part of 30 years in conditions that kept it in great condition.

This saw is made in Sweden for the 300th aniversary of the brand.

This could be used as an everyday workhorse but is also a collector's item. Made much better than today's version of the same.

I would prefer to sell it to someone who appreciates the significance of the saw, a collector, an arborist, etc.

Send me a reasonable offer and you can own this cool piece of history.

Not sure how to post pics from my phone here but I can post the Kijiji ad that has some if that's not an issue.

Thanks for letting me be part of this awesome group. I have read threads on here for quite some time as I also have a 51 made in Sweden and did research here about it.

Cheers

I have it listed for 500 Canadian on Kijiji...let me know what you think about the price. Too low? Too high?

Whew!!! That's like $376 and change in American $$. I think your gonna need some piston pics and documented history on the saw for that kind of money. I'm sure your soon to get some more input. Welcome to the sight.

I'd be happy to accommodate such pics. It's a 30 year old saw. Lol. I don't own a bore scope though.

I'd be happy to get the compression tested but it's high. Perhaps a video of it running/cutting would be enough but it's so clean :). I hate to get it dirty.

Good to know what people think about the price. Don't be afraid to be brutally honest. It's the 30th anniversary of the 300th anniversary saw. Pretty cool find:). If it's not all that valuable I might just add it to my 51 of the same era

Thanks for your comment and welcome to the site.

It still has the original sticker from where it was purchased. It was little nicer before I cleaned it. Lol. I rubbed off a bit but the name and phone number are still there. It also has the serial number plate from Sweden as expected.

Cheers

Cheers to you Nate. Just suggesting pictures of the ring land area and piston skirt. No bore scope required. You can take it one step farther and also take some pics from the intake side. Compression tests can be misleading as I've seen scored P&C's still make acceptable compression. That's my opinion of course. Also seen good P&C's make only 120 psi too. Just some input and not telling you how to do your sale. Have a good in!!

You can take off the muffler and take pics of the piston through its stroke to get an idea of the condition of the cylinder.

I doubt you will sell it at that price. It's not really a desirable saw, but you never know.
