3 cube chain

Don't really mess with the smaller saws much. Never had to tune a chain on a baby saw or 3 cube. Any pics would be sweet.

I went through with a flap wheel afterwards and smoothed the links and rivets out

I'd like to try a chamfer on top of the straps rather than dog boning

Yeah, I think a lot of it is being able to clear the chips. Rakers are another, the raker gauges I have are too hungry

I use feeler gauges and a straightedge. I haven't checked lately, but I'd guess you'd want something like .018"

Yep nos or used in mac brand and oregon.
Heck I had a saw come in with a 60dl loop last week. You dont use the cutters off it. You use the 72 cutters. Old info I saved with pics https://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/chain/oregon-72lg-and-76lg/

I had a few chains like that 6-8 years ago. Is it worth all the trouble. Not IMO.

They tell me an amazing chain for a 3 cube is alot more voodoo than an amazing chain for bigger motors
