288 lite

I just picked this up from @mdavlee a bit ago and had it out today. I see why they have such a following. Very nice saw! I had my Stihl 460 and the Jred 2094 but only ran this.

Thank-you. I had a 'slinger 372xpw and a MMWS 2100, both great saws. This saw is a nice balance of power to weight between the two. I was cutting kiawe today which is by far the hardest wood I cut. You can really lean on it.

I was strictly sworn off the Husky saws untill I got a 288XP. It came with a full wrap and high top. Can't beat the sound. Great saws.

I agree. One saw I haven't run that I would like to is a 7900 or 7910. My 120si is something special.

Once in a while I fire it. Runs good. If that was your only saw to cut firewood, you wouldn't freeze.

I dont have a "lite" but i've got 6 of the 181, 281, 288 saws. I hate them and trying to to find more to change my mind.

Dave on the ones I have saw rubber av's no spring on the fogs and had a decomp and as distin said low top I think that's it.

Yes it is. I traded that sucker to Randy on port work. It's one I shouldn't have cut loose. It's a Hoss.

288xp is the saw that made me remove my Stihl Blinders. Ive had 50 saws ported all from mastermind and the 288xp lite I bought from him is my all time favorite. I just mentioned on a visit that I wanted to try a big Husq, he reached up on his shelf and pulled it down. It left with me. Love that saw! It's not a looker or mint like all my other saws, but it is my most treasured.
