I don't know if a different brake lever is called for but some guys have had to notch the clutch cover
where the wrap handle passes under it - especially if you're using the Pro Safety aftermarket full wrap.

This stuff is like trying to find hens teeth(for now) a winter mesh filter lets in plenty of air for playing, plus being upside down stay cleaner much longer. I tried the HD on my 272 and eventually went back to the old 268 style as it was better than a dirty HD that I couldn't replace. Hopefully the aftermarket world can help us poor crazy saw people out one day with these and other nla parts for popular saws.

Just a heads up, I believe you need a special brake lever for the wrap kit. could be wrong though
they did come with a different brake lever, if you see one with a third rib on the flag part thats what thats about im pretty sure. the ones ive seen have a slightly more forward lean.

No notching for a Pro-Safety on the 288. All the Por-Safety handles I've seen have a spacer block between the bar and the tank.

I have seen the covers notched for the stock handles though.

Where do they notch the cover? Pics?

It’s a b to get on and off but possible without messing with the cover.

Was referring to the new ones you was talking about.
Oh! Gotcha! I talked to the guy just awhile ago. Think I’m gonna try having 25 made. It will be some time until he can get to them.

My concern is I don’t have the aluminum block for the bottom and not any rubber gripping.

Stihl makes rubber gripping that can be bought by the foot.
Surely a block can be manufactured by someone around here.
