Is yours an XP? Mine isn’t. I have a 266 wrap handle. It will fit perfectly. I guess what my question is at what point did they change the handle configuration on the bottom?

Mine should be a open port
It's not a xp but i have seen a 268 non xp
With a closed port on it
From the factory.
It's getting zoo citied anyway with a closed port
If it don't have one.
Not sure about the handle difference
I only have a early course thread crank
266 with a full wrap.

Closed on all xp saws I'm told
the se saws were open.
I've been told there's se or non xp saws however they were marked out there from the factory that were
Sent out with closed port
Who knows using up parts etc.
Steve builds a good runner out of the open port.

All the 266’s I’ve came across will not keep up with my Sachs Dolmar 120SI. This 268 will. I had a Jonsered 670 Super II that would. Still kicking myself for selling that one.
