In my area, 22 mag ammo is plentiful and available in a variety of brands and weight grains. Well it's been like this for several months. Before that it was luck to find any locally. Anyone else notice that?
I'm glad because I have 22 mag in a pistol and rifle.

It's usually available here, but just the pricey ones. I still have a few boxes of W-W Dynapoint from when I had a Single Six if anybody needs some.

If I didn't reload I probably would have gotten into the .22 Magnum. I can shoot almost anything centerfire for less cost.

Never any trouble getting 22 mag ammo here. Now 22 lr what a year or 2 ago was tough and prices spikes.

At one time, I went almost two years not finding 22 mag ammo unless it was overpriced around $30. Now most are under $15.

I bought a bunch at Midway or Graf a short time ago, can't remember which one had it on sale. 300rds of CCI Maxi Mags for $39.
I don't think it was any cheaper, before the dark time.

What would you consider this time? No ammo in central NH. I’m blade I have plenty of 22 mags and longs, but not enough for the two model 48s I have, and it’s been the driving force to get rid of them.

This is another dark time.
The post you responded to was in Aug of 2018. In the time of plenty.

I know right, you’d think people would learn! Well I haven’t yet. This seems way worse than it was back in 2013. You could at least find nato rounds back then but no 22s. My wife just got back from Wally World, she told me the three rounds I generally look for 9mm, 38s, 357 weren’t in stock which I’m not surprised but they had plenty of 22. She deserves a spanking for not grabbing any even though we’re ok at the moment

No ammo at my nearest Walmart. Well one box of 25-06. But I have plenty of everything I need especially rimfire.

Last summer, Walmart loudly announced that they were no longer selling ammo for handguns or AR's and AK's and made a pitch for more gun control. I haven't given them a penny since then. And you know what? I really don't miss them, in fact I have found better retailers for all my needs. Some of my side job customers have told me that Walmart has quietly started carrying handgun ammo on occasion, I suppose the desire for profits overcomes all. But we already knew that, given how much alcohol, tobacco, and junk food they move.

My buddy said he just grabbed a box Rem 9 and .40 the clerk told her she could buy up to 6 boxes per caliber. I’m bummed because the few dealers around were always 3 times more $$$
