Check HL Supply at the top of the main page. They have AM mufflers on sale for $15.99, AV bushings for $3.99, Oregon clutch drum (3/8 7 tooth) for $22.49, etc.

@T.Roller may also have some of the parts you are looking for.

Actually I'm slowly building enough parts to build another one myself.

Not sure which model you are actually working with here.
Aftermarket pistons work quite well in used OEM cylinders - Meteor piston from HL http://www.hlsproparts.com/Meteor-Husqvarna-288-piston-and-rings-assembly-p/pc1735.htm
For the grommets, bellows and ignition wire as well as carb bolts Husqvarna is the only place - http://www.husqvarnapartsdistributors.com/p/Husqvarna-parts
Clutch cover with brake - http://www.arbortec.net/product-p/pj28803.htm
An After Market carburetor is good, especially if you replace the metering lever spring with an original, this can be bought from Husqvarna as well.
HL Supply has Oregon clutch drums these are good, the AV's are good there as well,
About the only thing I have here is a carburetor and it is at a parts only level, been going through my stash pretty good lately. But there is not one thing off that list that can't be had from Husqvarna or AM. Good Hunting.

Awesome i will look at those places. With the carb i am trying to locate the bolts that install the whole unit to the cylinder.

Should be able to get them from Husqvarna as well as most things for a 288. Sometimes when updating certain things to the more modern/latest version, the whole business needs changed over. Like an oil pump and worm gear for example. New gear wont fit in a old pump and it goes on like that.
I did look at the carburetors I have here and they are staying right here for parts(they are pretty bad). :(

Find out what size and length they are, go to your nearest hardware store and pick some up. Or do like I do and carry in a box of parts and start digging thru their hardware
