FOUND IT 088 top end

Bought a 088 from California with low hours. Turns out, it’s in need of a cylinder and piston. Needing a early 088 top end with clip on muffler.

Whats wrong with the cylinder?
An 088 cyl is going to be hard to find and spendy.

My 088 cylinder has a nice scratch on the exhaust side of the cylinder and piston. It definitely can be cleaned up but I still need piston and rings. Its a very low hour top end. Shame it didnt last.

Must be a reason for it.Carbon?
Did you do a pressure and vac test?

I always pressure and vac test. The issue was the PTO crank seal. Everything else checked out good.
