I bought an 066 a couple days ago, had it in the woods for the first time yesterday. When I went to adjust the carb something didn't feel right, sometimes I would get a change and sometimes not. I set it aside and kept working, when I got home I pulled the needle screw grommet thing out and saw those red limiter things, like WTF. The high needle's plastic B.S. friggin thing was all chewed up and just spun on the needle.

Did 066's come with these carbs or did the previous owner put a newer carb on it?

The late 066 where basic the same as the 660, or someone could have swapped carbs

Ok, searched a bunch, read a lot, still cant find what I want.

The limiter caps are not an option, I don't wanna screw with them. If I remove them, is this WJ69 going to lose the tune constantly?

What do you guy run? I'm ready to just buy a Tillotson carb and be done with it, but this Walbro carb is super clean, don't wanna buy a new carb just cuz I think I do.

WJ-69 will have the same limiters as this carb. You can remove them with a drywall screw. Just line up the tab with the slot and pull it out. Trim the tab off and you can then reinstall. The limiter caps themselves don’t do much of anything with holding the screws in place but they do make it easier to get a small screw driver in for adjustment.A4DF698A-B8E4-4D75-8A33-58B609870FF7.jpeg79CBBF28-8CB7-4146-87F6-1B1649B6E899.jpeg55CB8CBB-982E-4159-8825-429B3B3C5BF8.jpeg
