Modded 036 Pro, done by yours truly.
I'm highly impressed with how it cuts with the 20" B/C I'm running.
Will this saw run a full comp 84 drive link B/C combo with 72EXL or LPX chain?

I’ve had a few of them here recently and I thought they oiled great for 60cc. It’s probably similar to what an 044 or 046 puts out

Not even close to an 044 or 046. 036s aren't known for their oiling capabilities.

The 3 I have oil real good, one of them would probably oil a 30" bar

I must have a bad oiler then. I gotta take a peek. 036s are not known for their oiling capabilities.

Look at the oil flying off this one in the first 5 seconds.

Someone could have modded the oiler but it's the way I got it.

My oiler isn't the greatest either but I haven't burned my 24" bar up, but I do like to see it slinging off the end of the bar.

Maybe not on specs, but the 044s I’ve seen don’t really oil all that great. I gassed all 3 of these up and with a few blips of the throttle the chain was glossy with oil.

I took the 036 out yesterday and put my 25" Cannon bar on it with a nicely filed loop of LPX. Was very disappointed. I'm used to noodling big dry white and red oak with my ported 460. Granted, the 036 will not hold up to the 460, but I thought it would do better than it did.

But how was the oiler?

Oilers can wear,,, and pump less.. I’ve experienced this…

for whatever reason they just go slacker mode. It could be many reasons..

vacume in oil tank, and maybe also a bad oil tank valve.
It’s Winter and summer bar oil being used.

There are a few other reasons I'm sure ..:D

I retrieved my 034 super from a scrap pile, the top end was torched so I bought a very early hyway pop up piston and cylinder from someone on AS , i didn't do anything in the way of machining but just a muffler mod and BGD so decomp required.
Im not sure what your focus was on for the 036 but maybe skip tooth chain would help?

White Oak is pretty hard wood.
I run 24inch on 034 supers more then a time or 2. Never had an oiling problem but not everyone I have cut with keeps their sharpening like I do either which makes a big difference how much bar it can handle. I put a 24inch hardnose on 1 at work once and was pretty impressed how well it did in dead black oak logs 20in and up. They never really seemed to struggle much until i get into white oaks nearing the 17 to 18in diameter or around 20 in or so in black oak. 20in bar is optimum for the power and handling of an 034 or 036 though as far as keeping me comfortable using it. Never tried 22in on 1, probably would work well. 72 to 76 link I expect closer to a 21in cut.
