It seemed as my 260 with a bored carb could use a little more air, and the air filter would start to plug up after a couple of tanks fuel. So i made this little set up and so far I'm liking it, I have since added a primer so I don't need to remove the max flow to prime it being no choke.
No vids, I was just board one day wanted something to do, been wanting to do this for awhile, just didn't have time, maybe ill run the saw more now that I don't have to clean the filter as much, it was an easy to do job
I think we are all very interested how you sealed up the air filter base to the carb. . the air filter and choke setup have been a bone of contention for me.
The line going into the tank is just inside the tank maybe an 1/8" at most, the hole going into the air filter adaptor starts at 1/8" but the hole finishes with .035, so with a full tank of fuel it will act as a power jet but it only last for a little bit of time and is not overly rich.
Most primer buttons I've messed with had little flapper/Reed valve check valves. I don't think they would pull much if any fuel even with a little vacume on the line.
I centered a threaded hole in the filter base I used a 2 inch long 5 mm bolt, threaded through, installed a nut to lock it down, it was very simple to make. Let me know if you need any thing else
