What oil is best? and what ratio?

Kev she burn really clean @32:1 in my XS2511T. After a 20 year break, I am back. It mixes really good in single digits. Compared to Castrol, Motul, Belray and such it does not go out of suspension after 4 week sitting untouched in a non heated work shop.

These are outstanding work horses, the longevity, ease of start and work they do on a 20" is amazing.

    HUSQVARNA HUSQVARNA THREAD

All my respects to CalFire and U.S. Forest Service R5, Pacific South West Region. To see the cooperation and coordination between state and fed resources to save property, land, and lives was amazing. Sometimes these auctions are gold mines, all equipment allocated funds have to be used up...

    HUSQVARNA HUSQVARNA THREAD

We have some cutting to do in Woodland, CA. I'll make sure to run a bio oil @ 100:1 to comply with the local green regs.

    Diagnosing tooth shape

Take into account bar rail slop/slosh from normal wear. Filing the chain in the middle causes the preverbial bow effect. I tend to file mine close to or on the sprocket.

    Husqvarna battery saw fix

From the true experts that run a 325 all day long. Randy from Guiltyoftreeson Damian and August from the August Hunicke Reg Coates Veteran Tree Servive The stock husky chain that comes with these is nothing to rave about. You can try the speed cut nano and see if anything changes. The pros...

    Husqvarna battery saw fix

To be fair to Husky, both the 540 and 542 cut out under load. Each saw behaves differently: the generational difference between the two. The 540 cuts out completely due to the direct drive sprocket off the shaft, otherwise the motor/battery would burn out. The 542 a clutch systems cuts out and...

    New year….new saw!

Dan, glad all was sorted out. Each jurisdiction and country have their regulations. Nothing like being in the "modern" age. In my application and in my hardwoods here, I was not a big fan of the C85 out of the box. With too many good reviews, I too thought that it would do well. I tried to run...

    SELLING The new Husqvarna 564xp

Mark nothing wrong with a very angry 346, maybe the end of a great all around mechanical era. The opinions vary quite a bit.

    Husqvarna battery saw fix

Most likely the overload protection kicking in. The oregon speed cut nano does well with these saws. I took the inspiration from our good friend Richard Flagg and did a 1/4 pitch conversion. Could not be happier. In my world of dirty muddy wood, I do prefer the direct sprocket drive.

What oil is best? and what ratio?

Gas is your biggest enemy. It washes everything off, including the oil film in the engine. An elaborate paint thinner with some mandated additives.
