    Saw video thread

Randy, my dear neighbor, 2 miles over the hill can hear Steve's @Stump Shot 372 darling dancing away. Puts a Big 'O stupid smile on my face each time.

Kevin, there are quite a few that don't like them forum guys, shaking their fists and calling out the OPE family. We wonder why ... ??? If your chosen builder is backed up and you will not see your saw for a few, maybe a sign of good times, rather than flapping on them Y.T. about fluff or...

SELLING Parts saws husky 345 and McCulloch 610

Steve I have been having too much fun with the 610 you ported, in case anyone is thinking grabbing this one and sending her your way.

You will be better off choosing someone here from the OPE family. Too many past threads in the main chainsaw forum about fixing bad brake jobs and tales of caution once you step outside the OPE eco system. Every dollar spent here was well worth it for me. I have yet to have anything go belly...

    Bar rail groove closers

They do work. Get some decent aftermarket bearings, they tend to have less radial run out than the stock thus giving a better feel. Close on a brand new chain, if it starts to bind on a new chain, should work fine on a used one. Go in small increments, many get impatient and go too far too...

550 XP Mark II or MS 261

That is one of my main decision reasons, living in the boonies, I don't need to be driving long distances for decent support. Thankfully a really good dealer locally.

550 XP Mark II or MS 261

20 incher backed up by the MK2 North Woods power plant. @Stump Shot Steve's signature: Easy peasy start Easy peasy restart Puts a Big'O stupid smile each time, one feisty diva. Six years of trouble free operation, start and go, does not miss a beat. Not that Steve could not do the same for...

550 XP Mark II or MS 261

The MK1s had a lean fuel curve straight out of the factory as late as 2016-2017 when mine was produced. Once I had my AT updated in 2019, all start/restart problems went away. The idle fuel curve was fattened up, no need for a high idle to restart. Cold starts: do not use the decomp on the...

    Husqvarna C83 the best?

Just played around with a brand new EXL, on the torque monster from the North Woods factory. @Stump Shot Cut was made on a 5 year bone dry hard wood, these were the chips we pulled. Stock tooth profile, stock raker height, but I did modify the raker profile just to see how we would do. Just...

    Husqvarna C83 the best?

1+ To be able to land at Sydney Harbor and have someone take me to the true outback, awesome. To look around and see: no people, no electricity, no cell phone signal, and no civilization, would be nice. All that's left: heat, sand, cangaroos, and them hard woods to cut. That would be a dream...

    SOLD Husqvarna 359

@Stump Shot Steve these truly are some amazing machines. Randy @Mastermind has an amazing formula. That's not to say yours would not be top notch as well, should someone be thinking about a massage.

    The Proven Stumpshot 572

OFF TOPIC: Steve after 6 faithful years without missing a heartbeat, the SSS550mk2 went in for the AT update and the new blue filter. Sharp 325 chain, 7/32nd file, on a 20" bar is a must for these puppies. Looking forward to another 6+ years of easy peasy operation.

    The Proven Stumpshot 572

@Stump Shot Steve does some very good quality work. He is NOT the hack it up, send it off to the customer, be done type of a person. The 128 point inspection pays its dividents, we all know how the factory QC goes these days.
