I agree, WD-40 to help loosen up the gear if needed, but other than that let the bar and chain oil do its work. -

Stihl hasn’t had a grease hole for probably 25-30 years maybe longer and the bars seem to last as long as anything else.

Makes sense to me. The OEM Stihl and Husky bars I have had don't have grease holes.
