As some others this thread have discussed, I think the trouble starts with the fact that some popular Oregon 3/8" pitch chains specify a 7/32" file diameter, however if you look up which Pferd model has a 7/32" file, that model is intended to be used on 0.404" pitch chain with a 30deg cutter...
