I have a briggs powered devilbiss branded generator rated a 4k continuous, 5k surge. It cranks and runs great but when placed under a load it does not idle up, it lugs slightly when placed under load. I would like to think this is an adjustment issue but I am not well versed in generators, or...

I did it the other way around. Truetrac in the rear of my F350 for towing and street manners. ARB up front for when needed. I agree though the truetrac has been flawless for me. Thinking of swapping to a select able rear locker but too many projects going right now.

Didnt see it mentioned here and may not be relevant to the OP but... I always keep a saw in a stihl case in the back of my truck. A 400 will fit in said stihl case, a 462 will not. So a 261 or 400 lives in my truck and the bigger saws stay in my shop until I need them.

I didnt read it all but my ported 400 has basically replaced my ported 261. They are both great, I dont feel the weight difference but sure feel the power difference. I had 1 of 2 261s stolen. If it gets replaced it will likely be with a 400. That said there sure is a price difference.
