The Hutzl 361 I build had massive flooding issues. The metering spring was quite a bit different than OEM. I installed the new spring and a rebuild kit and it ran great. Installing a 391 carb is also a good mod for these ad can often be purchased for less than the spring and rebuild kit.

Just picked up a 241 on Thursday, It has a Zama. Has 370 written on it as possibly C1Q. The wiring has also changed a bit from any of the pics from blsnelling in your porting writeups.

I have built the Hutzl 361 kit. Same issue with the tank valve. Replaced and the compression relief, mine failed and several other builders have had the cap come off and it drops the pin into the cylinder. Mine failed during a pull start vs it running. What carb are you thinking about?
