Looks like it was vapor lock and/or heat. I let it cool down and then it fired right up several times in a row with the warm start...

550 mks1 had/has tandency towards hard restarts when warm.... Heat can build up inside its carburetor and they evolve vapour lock...

If you want to "winterize" lithium batteries.....it is best for them that they are charged @ 60%....
