Thank you everyone. Just soaking the chain in a lye solution which took off all the pitch and other crud made the chain sharper. The gullets were jamed full. Just about to sharpen it back up and head back down to clear more trees tomorrow
I went down to Punta Gorda yesterday to help with the cleanup. I took my MS 250 with me. It worked well until I came to a palm tree. The tree quickly dulled two chains and my bar got overheated. I am assuming I need a new bar. I have posted a couple pictures. Yes the medal is blued and you can...
I may be in in the market for a new pressure washer. Trying a new spark plug on the 10 year old craftsman one but it keeps getting harder to start. Plus it does not have wheels

I really appreciate the knowledge that people freely give out on this forum.
I just purchased a Fiskars garden pick. Going to use it to work on a palm tree stump that is to close to the house to burn and access to small for a stump grinder. I have been using stump root on it. The factory edge is half sharp and half obtuse. Should this be axe sharp or more obtuse.
I have a Husqvarna 125 BVX. The cruise control lever broke just a month out of warranty. Is this something that a homeowner can fix. I already have the gutter cleaning kit for it but my yard is so small that it only gets heavy use a couple weekends a year when I vacuum the leaves for my compost...
