Where to find cost effective right angles hand piece

Every once in a while I search for 90degree flex shaft hand pieces. I always give up the search because I either can not find them, or they're several hundred dollars.. I'm no expert porter, but would love to add a cost effective angled hand piece to my tool box.. what is everyone else using...

    Best 357xp piston replacement?

I feel your frustration... like they're trying to kill profit margins for those who flip and rebuild saws..

    Hyway?

    Best 357xp piston replacement?

Curious as to what piston replacment everyone is using on the later 357xp. (15mm needle bearing) Oem jug, modestly ported. Oem pistons are looking pricey. I'm seeing pop ups made by hyway and lilredbarn but I'm a skeptic.. I also read to steer clear of the hyway flattop replacment piston...

Full wrap handle for smaller saws?

Yes, it is welded on bottom. Had to grind out tank side weld to fit. The clutch side is offset and now the lowest point. I haven't had it setup with bar and chain so hard to tell if it'll be an effective kickstand or not.

Full wrap handle for smaller saws?

It is the original handle with another section fit and welded so it bolts right on. Someday I'll get around to finishing this saw... just got an hda 199 in the mail for it.

Full wrap handle for smaller saws?

I loved the idea of a full wrap on a smaller saw so much I made one out of two 346/350 half wraps. Guy who welded it for me did a real bang up job, but it will be functional. I even made sure to leave room for the lug wrench..

    HUSQVARNA HUSQVARNA THREAD

Scored a 2005 husky 338xpt (California special) this week. I was unaware of this version until I graciously took it from the previous owner! It is a 45cc clone of the 39cc 338xpt. I'm assuming it was a baileys special with the 12 and 16in bars and 4 chains. I know a lot of guys dont dig the...

Husqvarna 357xp build, auto decomp removal

I originally planned on a muffler mod, gasket delete, and auto-decomp removal.. after reading an few threads and talking to the owner, he told me he didnt care what i did to the saw, just to do my thing! I kept the muffler around 70-80% of exhaust port, matched the lower transfers to the case...

Husqvarna 357xp build, auto decomp removal

This thing is stupid! I ran it last night and im still grinning. Tuned to 14,600ish holds about 12k in the wood. Glad we installed the manual decomp also, compression is around 170 right now. Thanks for the tips on this one boys. Only problem now is giving it back! Any stock 357's out there for...

Husqvarna 357xp build, auto decomp removal

Finished assembly last night. Decided not to fire it up and wake the neighbors though. Just curious, anyone running an 8pin rim with 18 or 20inch 3/8 bar and chain on this saw after porting? Plan to stick with the 7pin, but wondering if anyone's had luck with this setup?

Husqvarna 357xp build, auto decomp removal

Haha, I knew most of you would notice this.. the jug and muffler were not bolted to the case yet and piston was not installed. I know to drop the whole intake-cyl-muffler assembly onto the piston/case. I was bored and anxiously waiting for parts when i took these pictures!

Husqvarna 357xp build, auto decomp removal

Definitely wish I would have plugged the decomp on my 338xpt this way! Nice, clean, and reliable way to go about it.. Got everything ready for assembly this weekend. Just waiting on intake parts now. Old girl cleaned up pretty well!
