Thanks for the help, its a neat little saw, not too heavy. Ill research some more. Not really able to give a good impression until tuned up but what I could tell was an impressive instant torque and pull in cut(for its dispacement).

Well she is home, got it running and bad smelling fuel is filling up area below filter, coming out of every gasket on carb, and dripping out decomp.Surprisingly, it still ran good and cut some dense hemlock at a feel similiar to a 455/460 Rancher. I hope to see how it runs sealed up and tuned...

Cool, picking it up tonight or tomorrow. From what little I have searched it has a chrome/nikasil cylinder and bigger ports than a reg 10-10?? Is that correct? Will post more when I get it.

Hey Mac people. I found a 10-10s in a friends garage, homeowner used for woodline on stuff that fell on lawn. Started in 2 pulls. Can anyone give any background on this? Is it one of the Hot Rod Macs? What newer stuff can I compare it to? Thanks

For my area and jobs 20 to 24" is all I run. Stumps I just use wedges and jam sticks walking saw around. Ill try and get vids up soon. Worked 7910 at buddy's firewood lot today.

I just finished several tree jobs with the screaming 7910 Kevin just built and am having fun like when I first started years ago. I wanted this one to have a different personality haha, So changed up the formula some.

    Xtra Sausage

Got my Dolmar back from Kevin. What a saw. Big grin ripping through 20" white oak like butter, could lean on saw hard too. My helper didnt know about saw getting built and was like Holy Sh** what is that?? It was a new never run 6400C that Kevin put a 7910 cylinder on and gave it the Xtra. The...

    Turbo Crank

There is a site on dyno tests that showed gains on a kx500. Definitely mixed opinions out there on subject. Also fact that factories have never used it in production. I am sure testing varied in results due to dozens of approaches in design in machining. I would think a blank sheet/fresh start...

    Turbo Crank

Hey to all the saw builders, I was wondering if anyone has experimented with turbo cranks? They have been used since early 80s and supposedly perfected for motocross, but with onset of 4 stroke push by oems it lost its efforts. It involved cutting grooves or machining scooped holes into crank...

Honestly I like all brands and some models are nothing special and some stand out. I love big Stihls, Husky has better powerband for me but my 361 hasn't had one issue, not even a bolt come loose. The pro bars and chains have held up best for me too. I really can't knock them. I wanted this saw...

I am digging the AFC live too, I work in suburbs often and wouldn't mind being able to adjust afc with knobs in dash to clean up truck or go full power.
