    My wife bought a new 12" Lodge last year. I didn't like the rough finish. So, flap discs on an assortment of grinders took care of that. Reseasoned it and then made 5# of bacon and all is good.

    It could also be a bad ground. Rusty connection, loose motor mounting bolts or loose starter bolts.

    I'm also going to say battery. When the battery is rested for at least 1 hour (no charger on it), it should have at least 12.3 volts. If it's below 12, it's shot.

    My equipment is lighter weight and wouldn't fair well. I would definitely cringe at the thought of running that through my planer.

    Painfully slow. I was 6 short to finish the house trim. I must have cracked 6 in the past. This would be 104 that I cut that turned out good. 20% become firewood because of chipout.
