It's my understanding that peach growers follow a spray schedule that is determined by monitored insect and disease emergent times and usually get notices by gov. ag. agencies, etc. Maybe six to eight sprayings per season with large machines with fans to move lots of air.
This is a rather rare Troy-bilt being made only in one year, 1984. It's a 'Cultivator Plus' designed for cultivating. 3 hp Tecumseh. I use it weekly during the growing season and have had it for just a few years.
Kind of a collectors item.
Make sure the worm gear transmission always has plenty of good lube. Mine failed and I've heard it's a known weak point.
Nice little cultivator. To call it a tiller is a stretch, IMO.
Your Ideal Steel if I'm not mistaken is a hybrid. It has both a catalytic device and secondary air tubes.
It sounds like a great stove. My Jotul just has secondary air tubes. The hybrids weren't out back in 2002 when I bought mine.
I'll be reading up on the Ideal Steel this even. I love these...
Note the reflection of the room in the glass in our Jotul F-600CB. I was trying to get a good 'secondary burn' image not realizing I was taking my own photo. M.C. Escher-ish. We've had it a bit over 20 years now.
