Steve recently did my 261 Arctic from Bill. Both great to work with FWIW
This is the 2nd saw Steve has done for me and I have to say this one's exceeded my expectations. Not yet broke in so only getting better !
I might have to rethink my intended use as this could do a lot more work then...
Windfall from my cousin's place a whopping 2 miles for this scrounge. He helped load n unload for bonus points. 5 loads of pine, 1 left of better maple for tomorrow. The pine actually hit a house poked a hole in the eave.
Husqvarna with a Kohler electric start and hate it. Needs to be primed to cold start every time. Previous owner had it serviced for this issue and was told "It's Fine". Was only $50 so won't lose anything on it either.
Fit the inner spike as best I could with what I had. Drilled using OEM 372 spike as a pattern and chain catcher holes matched up. Had to grind a little away to fit. Didn't get it perfect depth wise. The height matched great.
Thanks good info to have. Because clearly quality is all over the map with the inexpensive kits
Super busy this weekend. Hopefully by next weekend I can give it a hard run. Need to look over the bar closer too just be thorough.
