SGoes between recoil and brake handle as the 066 recoil is wider. I found a nylon bushing at the local hardware store that works well.

SYeah a spacer is pretty easy to make. A lot of hardware stores have metric and SAE spacer stock.

Correct on the place for pressure testing. Even 7 PSI is plenty for leak testing, I haven't found it necessary to check for pop off...
