Ok, oiler problems in the SP81.... here is what I found. On the manual oiler, we have an improper mix of parts. It has the thick flange oil pickup line used in conjunction with a thin gasket effectively trapping the check disc. I have options here, I have another manual pump with a thick gasket...

All seriousness though, modern saws use a lot of died plastics that hold there color through use and abuse. These old saws where all painted metal and the paint was just industrial enamel and not known for its durability. Make no mistake about it, I have some seriously ugly Macs that will run...

I drilled the 7-10 for the other two screws. So far, all of the RH start saws I've had here where 3 bolt. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Well the fuel tank gasket swelled up sitting over night and is sealing so I grabbed a 20 inch bar off the wall and spun a loop of chain for it and took it out and sunk it in 24" oak log. A couple twists of the screws and it singing like a Mac should. I think I did ok for $100. I would like to...

Sorry, my wording was poor. It is an SDC. I meant it is the the first 10 series I've seen without an auto oiler. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

So I bought this thing..... not 100% sure what I have but I'm thinking it's a 6-10. No auto oiler, first 10 series I've seen without, SDC carb, pro mac style tank, and it is definitely 70cc, pulled the muffler to verify. Good news though, it runs!!! Will need some minor stuff. Sent from my...

The seller wont go less than $80 plus the $28 shipping I'm not sure it's worth it. Especially for a non runner that may turn out to just be another 54cc saw. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Did some test cuts with the 2-10 yesterday. It acting like it had a bad crank seal. If I layed it over on the clutch side it would go lean then want to die if I tipped it back up. I decided to pressure test it this morning. That's a bad crank seal!!!! Had one in stock, so all good now. Sent...

I dont have an old filter. I converted this saw from a bullfrog to an SDC and the original air filter interferes with the choke. But you give me an idea. Maybe I can chop the original one apart and make it work. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

I ran two tanks through it today bucking firewood. No more signs of fuel in the airbox or engine flooding. Gonna leave well enough alone for now. Does anyone have a work around for these air filters? Swapping filters saw to saw is gonna get old quick. I was thinking of trying to make a frame...
