Post up your ported cylinder Artwork

I don't have the equipment to mill the tops of the cylinders so I don't know how difficult it really is, but I'm always amazed how close everyone gets to the cylinder walls without ruining them.

    066 Redlight crank

I have an aftermarket crank in my 066 red light. I just run slightly heavier mix to reduce chance of wear. As mentioned, you have to use the same style crank unless you switch the case, and if you switch the case you need to switch the handle and covers too and it's basically a 660 at that point.

    Lets make a Stihl MS460

Looks like an LBZ. LLY doesn't have the grid heater behind the alternator. I believe 06-07 were actually both LBZ platforms with 06 just being called LLY in spirit. I believe all Duramax generations have an EGR cooler though, most people just remove/block them off. I know LLY and on have the...

    Lets make a Stihl MS460

Are the 1/2 tons much different from the one tons? I put AN10 trans lines on my Duramax. Also put new lines on a 3/4 ton, neither were too difficult but they also look quite different than the lines you show.

    Saw video thread

Complete rebuild of a Dolmar 7300. Kind of a long video since it's a full tear down/rebuild.

    Ms261 lean condition

What oil/fuel mix? I usually run a heavy oil mix out of fear of running lean like you show, but I know asking fuel mix opinions of 10 people will get you 15 answers. Did you port it yourself or have it ported by a known shop? If a shop they should be able to answer your concerns. If yourself...

    241c WSL, 441c WSL, 462c real close.

Old thread, but goes to show Stihl definitely didn't feel the need to replace the 241C with anything comparable after a handful of years. It's hard to justify keeping a model alive if it doesn't sell well compared to others, no matter how well liked it is. I have a couple 241C's and a 261C. If...

    What's a good price for a 372xp?

Sold one for $450 a few months ago.

    MS460 crank question

I had a 660 crank spin the case bushing/bearing. Rest of the saw was fine, such a bummer the case half was trashed because of something so simple.

Question about throttle Wire VS Rod

Typically the wire/cable and the sleeve come as one because the cable has pins crimped onto the ends to hook into the carb and throttle trigger. So while the answer is "technically yes", in actuality no, the throttle cable and guide sleeve is replaced as one unit.

Question about throttle Wire VS Rod

Others mentioned it too, a "throttle shutter" is also known as a throttle plate, butterfly valve, or throttle valve. It's the brass colored circle that opens and closes on carburetors. One is for choke, one is for throttle. The wire stretching is not entirely correct. The wire is metal and...

Stihl 026 in need of work.

145 psi is good. Check the oil worm gear and arm behind the clutch. Hose/pickup could also be plugged or not sealing to the pump. Spinning chain at idle could be worn clutch springs or too high of idle.

    Pulling flywheels ugh…

I hit the crankshaft with a punch and a big hammer and they always come loose. Nothing else works as easily in my experience.

    Handle heating element only?

Prices for both would be good, but it came with a regular 1/2 wrap handle.

    Handle heating element only?

That's correct, the top wrap handle around the case. Previous owner let the padding rub through to the heating element and break the circuit. The rear throttle handle element still looks good.
