SI don't think a helicoil would get enough grip in plastic. Most hardware stores have brass screw inserts that work well in plastic and wood.

SYep, I’ve got 5 and 6mm helicoils. I’ve just never used them in plastic. Do they bite in well enough?

SMy 350 has a stripped oil pump retaining screw. Is this the correct insert for the screw? I believe it’s 5mm.
