Several years ago, I saw a video of a parking lot attempted robbery. I say attempted bc the " victim " was a competiton shooter and was armed. It's amazing how quickly he terminated the threat. I've tried to find that video several times without luck.

Leave them alone. As is, they are providing some measure of heat transfer and cooling.
