I used to fish for natives in the mtns here all the time, I've got pics in my PC from 20 years ago of some beautiful fish. Rarely ever kept one unless I cooked it right along the stream (which we did once in a while). It was nothing back then to catch 40 fish in one morning (none were huge but...

I can take you to couple ittle-known trout streams right up in the mtns a few miles from my house that are loaded with native brookies and browns that'll amaze you. They're a hoot to catch on flies, streamers and minnow rigs. It's not as easy to fish as the river but its worth the effort.

Most likely the same time-frame as this past year but we will have to get @blacksmith to verify it. I'll take an extra day off and go fishing with yinz if you can come a day early this coming year
