Yup. I had a very early 920 right after the 910 was discontinued. The 910 did have a de-comp & the 920 did not. There were many times I was wishing the 920 had it!

That is an accurate observation. I have done exactly what you describe!

So far no one has mentioned the Mg piston on the original MS400. If the MS400.1 reverts to an AL piston which is heavier than Mg, it seems to me that could be a factor in producing more torque. More mass will produce more inertia meaning it would be harder to "slow down" when it meets resistance...

I'm a Big Boy or Challenger or Allegheny fan. Diesels just don't do anything for me. Big steam is like a living beast coming down the rails!

How about the MS400.1 ?

I have a 241 & a 462 which have both received the "XS treatment". One day when the 241 had only used a few tanks (maybe 5 or 6), it wouldn't fire, & it was not because I wasn't giving it a good spin! I called Kevin & reported to him & said I was going to replace the plug "just because". Probably...

My 201 has a standard carb. He he, no solenoid to deal with, only the *!#%$!!?& rev limited coil to bug me. Thanks to Kevin, I can now tune it pretty well.

I knew of a J'red dealer a few years back who swore by Denso plugs.
