I put a new tank/handle on my old saw. My old handle had the one with the round thing on it. My new one is the same as the 660. I'm going to attempt another shim this morning. Ill report back on how it goes. The first one i made was too wide.

I'm going to try and make another shim tomorrow. The first one i made was a little thicker than 1/8th.

The old control lever is a completely different design. A better one at that. I tried to make it work . But it won't fit.It was one of the old red ones with a big circle on the shaft right where the new ones need a shim.

My saw is actually an old red eye 066. I put a new tank on because my old one was leaking and had a busted ear for a mount. This new handle hasn't worked right since i put it on. Definitely need the fast idle for cold start!

Ive been scouring the internet to try and figure out my high idle issue and came across this awesome sight. I joined the group and came across this thread. I tried making my own version of the diagram that was posted but it didn't fit right. Any chance you have any of these left? Thanks,Rich
