Personally I've always liked the cork but if you store your saws dry, I believe that over time it could potentially dry out which might break the seal. Figured I had access to the Viton, so I may as well offer both....
Mark Heimann will appreciate this..... Added Viton Fuel Tank 10 series Gasket as an option in my store. Can go with either Cork (OEM style), or the newer Viton. Selection is available with any kit that carries the cork...
I've been looking into McCulloch two man saws...

Great info mark.... Please share further discovery if you can...
I've added 3 more gaskets to my Mac 33B, Super 33, Model 39, Mac 35, and Mac 35A lineup for easier rebuilds. https://www.oldsawshop.com/search?keyword="model+33B"

Hey Gang,
Thanks to Chance Would, I've got some new McCulloch 2 Man 5-49/1225 gasket and diaphragm kits available. This kit covers most of the 7-55 minus the Carb body gasket (still waiting to get one of those for replication).
Diaphragms are ready to bolt in and run....No rivets, No original...
You and I both my friend :) not sure if I ever will or not but at least I can make stuff for the guys that do.
Cool idea on the formed plate. let me know if you ever get that to work for you....
Brian
For all you 125 aficionado's I have finally made up reproduction stickers for the Super Pro 125, and 125C saws.
Should be the best reproduction available as far as looking correct.

I also am working on some 10 series...
Hi Cinci/hacskaroly,
I've found that knife cutting cork is the only real good option. Lasers just don't work very well for them. Here's a video of my flatbed cutter (60"x120") cutting 1/8" thick cork fuel tank gaskets.
Hey Gang,
Sending out an early "Heads Up" to everyone in case they need something before I bug out for a vacation.
Please Note: Orders received after Wednesday Feb 5th will be shipped after Feb 15.
Thanks,
Brian Genrich

One trick I learned with Powder and paint on the mcculloch saw stuff....If after bead/sand blasting you pre-bake the part, it helps burn out many of the oils or any humidity that would gas out from the porosity of the metal.
