    Personally I've always liked the cork but if you store your saws dry, I believe that over time it could potentially dry out which might break the seal. Figured I had access to the Viton, so I may as well offer both....

    Mark Heimann will appreciate this..... Added Viton Fuel Tank 10 series Gasket as an option in my store. Can go with either Cork (OEM style), or the newer Viton. Selection is available with any kit that carries the cork...

    Made the handle/Tank gasket, Cylinder gasket and End Cover Gasket for Griffin for this saw.... He sure did a nice job on the restoration...

    Hi Cinci/hacskaroly, I've found that knife cutting cork is the only real good option. Lasers just don't work very well for them. Here's a video of my flatbed cutter (60"x120") cutting 1/8" thick cork fuel tank gaskets.

    One trick I learned with Powder and paint on the mcculloch saw stuff....If after bead/sand blasting you pre-bake the part, it helps burn out many of the oils or any humidity that would gas out from the porosity of the metal.
