My first pickup was a 97 F350 7.3. Still have it as well.
It was only a money pit for me due to me thinking I needed to add a lot more HP. Other than that, it's not been to bad.
The first one is owned by Jim Rose of Rosewood diesel in Ohio. It's got a 7.3 Powerstroke under the bonnet. He built it as a rolling advertisement for his shop.
He builds good 7.3 Powerstroke Injectors. If you ever need some he is one of the best in the business. I've bought parts from him...
The killer quality parts would be OEM.
If you want more power, go all OEM and port it, do an MM, as well as intake and carb work. It'll be a runner for sure.
Then you will need a teal and gray saw, a teal and black saw, an Orange saw, and an Orange and black saw. There's atleast four color combinations.
When that's done, just start making up colors..
They all have there strong points,as well as weak points. There's a couple brands I prefer, but, any good running saw will do.
Every brand also makes there share of junk.
