Are you liking the 550? And is it a MK2?

Mine went up by $800 this year. Costs me nearly $3K... I have $1500 deductible, but they just changed the wind and hail deductible to be a percentage of the repair. We got a new roof and gutters last year. I hope we don't have to touch it for a long time.

The main difference between the 35 and 40 is about 6" of cutting width isn't it? Options for things like a debarker may be better on the 40 as well. I would think that the larger size would be a better investment, unless you are looking at it as a stepping stone to getting to the larger mill...

The X series are the nicer ones. That was a spendy tractor when new.
