    plugs in general have gone to the birds in quality and reliability.. i have a 18.5hp vanguard in my golf cart and i cant make a whooe year without changing the plugs and i only buy ngk because they last the longest. champion are second. they dont stop completely buy they get crappy spark...

    i havent ever had to change a spark plug because it was used up in any saw or other handheld yard tools. i ran my 372xpw daily for many years

    i looked up spark plug in one of the chainsaw user manuals and it does say to change the plug every 100 hours or annually if in commercial use

    why dont you want to mix oils? if you look up the safety data sheet you might be able to figure out what oil is in it.

    when i file the rakers i just make the last swipe of the file on the leading edge corner it is only keep it from dragging.

    i sharpen all my chain for hardwood so transition to softwood my saws will cut a little faster and i can lean on them more. but still cut really well on hardwood.

    exactly. if you are cutting hardwood the more consistant each cutter has to be to each other. softwood is more forgiving the chain tolerances can be bigger and inconsistant. when the wood is hard cutter shape and depth guage makes a far bigger difference.
