I only ever change spark plugs on new to me used saw purchases to NGK if there isn't one in them, then never worry about them again...

Its a complete BS test, but in a extended time full throttle test in a four stroke motor I would expect an ashless oil to do better...

True sometimes I think people forget they ran motor oil back in the day as long as you have enough oil it will be fine. -
