    SOLD MMWS Stihl 026 Pro

Great looking saw! I have a bananafied 026 and 261. The 026 hangs right in there and is a tad more nimble. My son prefers it over the 261. Special trigger lock mod on that saw?

I'm not worried one bit. It was meant as a little ribbing. Glad the saw sold. I'll quit looking at it now!

SOLD Woods Ported Stihl MS361 price dropped! Again!!! break on shipping!

I've got a friend who asked about this size saw in a ported version. I've sent him a couple of pictures and have texted him twice about this one. I even told him it was buy a reputable builder. (was I stretching the truth a tad or a bunch?) No go yet. I'll keep bugging him about it until he...

What oil is best? and what ratio?

I like Schaeffer's 9000 Full Synthetic at 40:1 because it's a pretty blue color when mixed up. Is that a good enough reason?

    New saw 462 vs 500i

I must have gotten a good one. It's the saw in my avatar sporting a 32" bar. I have since sold it to a friend. He's been enjoying it the last few years.

    New saw 462 vs 500i

I can tell you a 441 Regular ole carb version will pull a 32" bar with full comp chain just fine. Did it for years and years mostly in Oak. The 441 is also a fuel sipper. A ported 500i guzzles fuel and is LOUD. Has plenty of get up and go. I do like it for a felling saw. Can't help you with...

FOUND IT Stihl spikes 650, 064

I had a good feeling about this, but just checked. Don't have a set. Just the 1122 664 0505. Looks to be new. I can send a couple of pics if you want to at least take a gander.

    SELLING WTS MMWS 461

Going okay Randy. Recent knee surgery and bow season. Tough combo. Was able to mow grass a little today. Would really like to get in a tree stand by the end of the week. How about you and the Mrs?

    SELLING WTS MMWS 461

That's exactly what I think every time I see this thread. My mom has wiped my smile off my face a few times and that was very uncomfortable! This would have to be worse!!

    Stihl usg

I don't have the angles set on my Speed Sharp (Tecomec) any more. It's set at 90 and 0 for grinding rakers. The return spring broke on the Northern Tool grinder years ago. It's in a box in the basement somewhere. I really like the old Northern Tool Grinder. Had a special washer/spacer made...

    Stihl usg

I don't really know. I think it cuts a little better and is a little smoother. If I remember correctly, The first pass or two with a file might be a little grabby then smooth. Smooth seemed to work for me. I have not hand filed since I've set the USG at it current settings. It cuts fairly...

    Stihl usg

To be fair, I have not tested the Stihl USG ground chain against hand filed recently. I should get that freshened up in my head. I have tested the Northern tool and Tecomec grinders against hand filing a lot. I think the offset round file, deep gullet, and no heat is what made a hand filed...

    SOLD MMWS 044 10mm

That looks like a much better compression reading for a ported saw!
