I'm guessing mid 1990's model. Great saw.
An opened up muffler did wonders for these.
I've owned a handful of this particular saw over the years.
All seemed like very good runners to me.
I was sure I was done buying saws and ended up picking up a lightly used 400c.
Put a 20" Tsumara Light bar on it and I am impressed with power and weight. It's all I've ran the last couple of days cutting.
I have a few ported saws, but I think this one will stay a stocker.
Aww mannnn, I should have thought of taking some pictures... I tossed the chain in my metal recycling bin for the chopper.
I'll go out and look now to see if I still have it.
Stuck at home with covid for a few days.
Edit: Just looked. Bin is almost empty. I must have recycled after I tossed...
I've been running the C83 Full Chisel a little while now. I like the chain but it doesn't seem very durable with my "big" saw.
I've sheared off a few cutters in dry standing White ash and Rock Maple.
The teeth were ground down to about 1/2 original length and the "big" saw is a monkeyed 500i...
Uh Oh...
I've been running 2 stroke equipment dry before storage since 1995.
Now I've got a new worry to put in my worry box. Guess another worry has got to go until I get this one sorted out!
Great looking saw!
I have a bananafied 026 and 261. The 026 hangs right in there and is a tad more nimble.
My son prefers it over the 261.
Special trigger lock mod on that saw?
I've got a friend who asked about this size saw in a ported version.
I've sent him a couple of pictures and have texted him twice about this one.
I even told him it was buy a reputable builder. (was I stretching the truth a tad or a bunch?)
No go yet.
I'll keep bugging him about it until he...
I must have gotten a good one. It's the saw in my avatar sporting a 32" bar.
I have since sold it to a friend. He's been enjoying it the last few years.
I can tell you a 441 Regular ole carb version will pull a 32" bar with full comp chain just fine. Did it for years and years mostly in Oak. The 441 is also a fuel sipper.
A ported 500i guzzles fuel and is LOUD. Has plenty of get up and go. I do like it for a felling saw.
Can't help you with...
I had a good feeling about this, but just checked. Don't have a set.
Just the 1122 664 0505. Looks to be new. I can send a couple of pics if you want to at least take a gander.
Going okay Randy. Recent knee surgery and bow season. Tough combo.
Was able to mow grass a little today.
Would really like to get in a tree stand by the end of the week.
How about you and the Mrs?
That's exactly what I think every time I see this thread.
My mom has wiped my smile off my face a few times and that was very uncomfortable! This would have to be worse!!
