    Chainsaw Pipe Exhaust theory

So this is the cutting edge of performance? Your saying the front tube length vs the expansion chamber diameter dicktaintes the rpm you can lay the pipe? Does it or does it not require the other saw to have a bark box? I used my super secret AI to generate this diagram. Also I might have to...

    treemonkey stuff

Happy you figured out bolts stretch. As regards whether soft material can hold hard bolts, well I disagree. The more threads you have in a hole the more the load is distributed into the material its threaded into. Its a question of bolt diameter relative to shear strength and length as much...

    Holz Lw bars?

It looks like stihl and husky had a baby they dumped in the free bin at their local fire station.

    treemonkey stuff

Is that a fact? I've built a couple of saws. I've had to extract a few broken cylinder bolts. I've never had a stripped cylinder hole in a case, I'm sure others have, but not I. In my experience even though mag is softer than steel, the length of the hole creates a surface area/strength that...

    Reinstalling clutch

Exploding a clutch in the shop is a rite of passage. That moment when you realize you still have both eye's is priceless. Also you should never put anything back together with an impact.

    What's on your bench?

When I fixed my 353, I tore her down cleaned the oil pickup rubber with alcohol to get all the oil off and then I put a thin coat of 1184 on the mating surfaces of the pump and the case and she hasn't leaked since. I did not buy new parts.

HELP! Need help with a Holzfforma G366

If it went pig rich when you got the tank to vent you tuned around a clogged vent. Fix the vent. Then fix the tune... 1.Turn the low jet in until you get the highest rpm possible. Then turn it out 1/8th of a turn. Turn out the idle screw until the chain stops moving. 2. Rev the saw. If it...

What is a good price for a used 372xp and what to look for

Mmm. Xt saves fuel at the expense of more heat and less torque and less longevity. Better for hippies where emissions are more important. Oe gives more torque more speed and more longevity at the risk of being too badass. Again this is a roughneck way to look at things.
