Have had many 044 and went to 462 2 years ago and added a 461 a year ago. 461 is the way to go if running bigger than 20 inch bar. Its stihls best IMO

My favorite small saw is Jonsered 2153 or 346. Ported with 18 inch bar there is nothing that outperforms it. It’s better than ms261 and stock ms361

It allows wood chips and gunks up bar groove and clogs oil hole about 5 times faster than rs chain or lgx chain. you have to constantly...

My 461 is from may 2020. They are supposed to make them in limited small batches since 2019. My local dealer has a new one on the shelf. You can’t go wrong with the older design
