Thanks Steve, and yeah I definitely did. Anytime I wanted to go cut with a Mac I brought the sp81. Looking back I probably didn't need to buy the cp70. Which is also why I want to rehome it so it doesn't continue to sit. It sure looks nice on display though!

Well crap, I wondered if something like that would be the case. Guess I will continue my hunt for an 084 oil pump. Thanks JJ.

Does anyone know if the 088 oil pumps can be used on the 084? Other than the piston pump having a longer stroke on the 088 pump they look about the same. I think one of the plastic spur gears might be a little different buts that not a big deal.

Mark it sounds like you have some unseen damage in the high speed circuit of that carb or a crudded up spark arrestor screen. Other than doing a pressure/vac test like you mentioned and looking at the piston thru the exhaust I would check the screen on the muffler and think about trying a...
